Losing power
Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum. Just got my first bike, '92 ex500. When I got it the battery was dead, it wouldn't even take a charge; so I put a new one in it and the bike started right up. After riding the bike for about 15 min. I shut it off and tried to start it again, but with no luck. The battery was mostly drained, so I put my charger on it and it for a while and it started just fine. I also checked the generator and it's puting out power; what else could it be? Voltage regulator?
Let me know if you have any ideas.
Thanks

RE: Losing power
First off, welcome to the forums and congratulations on the bike! Sorry that I can't offer you any advice on your problem (I'm new to bikes and don't know much mechanically about them) but you might find some help at EX 500 Riders Some of the members over there seem to know what they are doing. There are a couple of guys here that'll be able to offer you some advice as well.
Good luck getting the problem straightened out!

RE: Losing power
Welcome to the forums, the site mentioned above is awesome. I use it to find info on the wifes bike too.
I must say that I'm a little disturbed by your avatar...why would you ensure that your wearing gear and yet you have a passenger riding without any?
