I researched in the forums for a how-to on upgrading 03-04 636 front brakes to the 05-06 front brakes. How hard is this to do? Is it just a quick swap? (the calipers mainly, I realize the rotors would require a bit more effort)

Also I've been looking into getting steel braided brake lines and if I got the 05-06 upgrade would I buy the kits for the 03-04 or would I have to use the 05-06 kit?

Also Speed I noticed in another post that you have some 05-06 calipers for sale. If so how much? If the price is right I could pay for the calipers and H4 bulbs at once.

I have 05 brakes on my 03. What you will need are the rotors, 4 10mm spacers & 4 10mm longer caliper bolts& the 05-06 Master cylinder (the 05-06master cyl is not necessary but the 05-06 has a radial M/cyl whichhas better feel & less effort.) The calipers are the same and you can use your stock brake lines. I have all the supplies/ parts above to do the upgrade. I have the M/cyl, the rotors are on ebay nowand I had the spacers made; just have to pick up the bolts. Let me know; I'll be making upgrade kits once I get everything together.

Also, this would be a good time to change to steel braided lines and upgrade your brake fluid to a hi-performance/ hi-temp fluid.

 

Speed could you let me know how much for the spacers, bolts and 05-06 master cyl? And just to clarify I could still use my 03-04 calipers correct? Thanks

Yes, you can use your calipers. They are the same from 03-06 and maybe even the 07 except for the color.
