I think it's a 2001 model that I am keeping for a friend. I changed the oil according to the manual and put the proper amount in per the book. I go to pour the spent oil in a milk container and realize I am 1-1/2 quarts short. I check the glass and sure enough I have way too much in there. I replaced the filter and and took out the drain plug. Is there a secondary drain plug that I am not aware of? Has anybody else run into this?

 

tilt the bike over to the right, u might need one of your friends to help you, or you can take the engine coer back off and brain it that way.

 

Yes JI the manual calls out 2 drain plugs not plug. I just bought mine from a friend who takes meticulous care ( won't even ride it in the rain) and he did all the maintenance for me already.
If you don't have a manual try Bike Bandit or Ronnies and check their schematics.
