Im getting an 05 zx10(new) one of last years model(silver) and have not ridden one yet,what is the power like compared to my old 2002 r1? I've been out of the street bike sceen for a couple of years now and im getting back into it.Im so excited!

 

The power is awsome... first gear a little long but still fast as hell 100mph in first and pull ups in all first three gears. Handling is great and feels like you can toss it around like a 600 alot of people say it needs a SD but I havent had any trouble with head shakes yet. fast fast and fast

 

I've rode the 05 model and I rode the 06 home this past saturday after picking it up. An I have to tell you that both bikes have the power you need. If you rode a R1 then get ready for a ZX10R there is a difference with the pull on the bike. I rode my friends 05 R1 and I felt the difference, not to knock the R1 but that I felt more of a kick in the ZX10R. Go with it man you wont regreat your decision.

 

Then again, who wants the kick? An *** rush or a smooth transition?
