What's causing my head (handlebar) shake?
I just got some brand new tires on my '02 500r (Only has 5000 miles on her) and the other day just random I let go of the handlebars while cruising at around 45-50mph. I remember when I first got it that was fine, it would keep going straight as if I was still holding on.
This time, it started shaking, small at first, but growing with each shake so it scared me after about 2-3 seconds.
AW CRAP!!!
I did take the front and rear wheels off myself and took them in for new tires / balancing. I'm pretty competent with taking things apart and I'm sure I didn't do anything stupid like leave a part out, although I didn't have a manual or anything so I just put everything back on the way it came off and made sure things were "tight"
Any ideas on what is causing this head shake? If I hold on to the handlebars there's no discernable shake, but if I let go for a second or 2 it really starts shaking bad.
