New Rider with stupid Question

Default New Rider with stupid Question
I have ben a dirt bike rider, but have now bought a 2005 500. My stupid question is...do streetbikes have a alternator to charge the battery? my battery went dead, I charged it and it is now okay..but is there anything on the bike that charges it while I ride? I know a dumb question but I dont have the manual yet.. thanks Ray

Yes they have alternators.
