The commentary of a new rider, from a new rider.
First off, I'd just want to say hi to everyone. I'm Gonzo, I'm new, and I'm looking for a friendly forum to stay in.
I remember the first time I knew I needed a street bike. I had a terrible stomach flu, home for the day laying on the living room couch. I was watching my own medicinal TV show that always seems to get be back to normal quickly. The show was House. I remember watching Dr.House climb abord a beautiful street bike and rev off into the distance. It was pressed into my brain. It was something that couldn't be covered up, something that I couldn't shake. I needed a bike.
Skip forward a couple years, a little more know-how, and some money I got a settlement, and it was time to invest in a new bike. After looking around and doing my research, I had decided that a smaller bike would be good for me. Ninja 250R was my bike. After going to the local motorcycle shop, jumping through the salesman's hoops, and plenty of negotiating, it was time to have the bike delivered.
The night before getting to ride was one of the longest of my life. It was more than Christmas. But the next day was worth the wait. It was tricky learning at first. Never even working a clutch of any kind before, I killed it several times. But I quickly figured it out and was riding around my small neighborhood all day.
Riding around a corner, leaning into it is simply intoxicating. being able to wave to other riders that cruise by makes you feel like you're really part of something. It's a great feeling and I'm really enjoying every second of it.
This has probably been a really long, boring, pointless read. But I figured how else to introduce myself but to tell my own generic story. hah.
Thanks for reading.

Hey Gonzo, welcome to the forums. There are a lot of good people on this forum so you came to the right place. And by the way, I am the black sheep of this family but I still try to be nice to everybody. I'm just crazy and it gets me in trouble sometimes.
Good to have ya here Bra!
