New 500R owner shifter/kick stand issue
Hello all, I just brought home my brand new (2006 leftover) 500R and discovered my toes hit the kick stand just as often as the shifter. Anyone have a solution? Aside from cutting off my toes that is...
Is there a kit to extend the shifter?

I got nothing, except a big old welcome to the site, and as you can see from my sig I know nothing about street bikes. But be assured someone will have an answer.
Two suggestions:
~Always pull in the clutch before you kick down the sidestand (or turn off the engine first)
~Get used to putting your foot a little more to the rear on the footpeg while riding.
It may seem weird at first, but it's amazing what you can get used to.
Good luck and ride safely!

Well thanks all for the welcome and the advice. Coming home from work today on the bike I came to the foot position answer. My boots tend to place my arch on the peg so I'll have to move them back a bit.
Is this where riding boots help?
