Default Help with Kick Stand

Okay, so I'm lowering my bike a inch and a quarter. I really don't want to spend 180 on a new kick stand. So a buddy of mine is going to cut my stock kick stand.....any ideas of how much I need to take off? He's cutting it and then welding the little foot thingy back on. HELLLLLLPPPP![sm=feedback.gif]

I would not cut too much. Maybe a 1/4 or 1/2in to start. You can always cut more later.

You can also file the front stop to alow the stand to go further foward while keeping the same length, or you can bend it out a little to.

Well I took my kick stand to a professional, and he took off about an inch. I put it on last night, and it sits like it's never been messed with. It's beautiful! He did a really good job.

So far...hehehe....I've lowered it 1 1/4in, took that ugly *** fender off, and I'm waiting on my blinkers to come it. You know the ones that are in the tail light? I like those. Haven't really decided what kind of exhuast to get. I'm debating on Muzzy or Scorpion. ANY SUGGUESTIONS?
