Frame sliders for EX500's???
So I have a 1993 EX500 and I kinda want some frame sliders for my bike. A lot of people have told me that I'll be lucky to find some that fit, so I was wondering if any of y'all knew where I could get them?

I believe frame sliders are a waste of money, especially for our bike.
Will they prevent your mufflers from being scraped up? Probably not.
Will they prevent the corner of your fairing (just above the front-facing turn signals) from being scraped? Probably not.
So what are they good for? Probably for bending a frame that would have otherwise been protected by a replaceable plastic fairing piece.
If someone (anyone) has any direct empirical evidence to the contrary, I will glady recant. But my opinion right now is that frame sliders are worthless bling.

So, you think the sliders are a bad idea? I havent heard bad things about them up until now
I obviously have no clue as to the cost either though, but once a frame is bent thats about it right??

They are$95 for the fronts and again for the rear. Other 500 forums that I have been to are also of the opinion that the sliders aren't worth it for this bike. On the SV forum though they rave about them occasionally. I don't have them on my bike.

hmm, picture the aero of the ex500. You do not need sliders. Plastics and bar ends will take the brunt of a crash. I do not see a frame issue on the 500 during a low speed top over.
