Default Carbs leaking oil???

Hey everybody I finally got a 93' EX500, butthe last couple days I have noticed that I have to keep topping off the oil. After futher inspections I realized small drops of oil from the two small, (what looks like tube fittings), on the the underside of each carb. I am not sure what teo do and not sure if this is dangerous, there isnever any oil on the ground under the bike, just a lilttledangling drop right after I shut the engine off.
Thak you for any advise and help

Sounds like you may be over filling it, causing the excess oilto get sucked up the breather tube and into your carbs.

Yes sounds very likely, open your air box and see if your filter is soaked with oil.

Make sure when your checking your oil levelafter filling, that the bike is upright and not resting on the side stand.

The ex500's have center stands don't they? But I agree, keep the ride level when checking the oil level.

Thank all you guys for replying so quickly, I'm definately going to check all these things out in the morning.
In the haynes manual it says to fill the oil level to the max. mark but other people have told me just half way. What is best? I think that I filled to 3/4.
Thank you again.

ok thanks again everyone. I think that I just had it filled to much. I cleaned it all up and seems to be much better.
