Question about 05' Tranny.
I have a 250R and was wondering about the transmissions. I have heard on forums that Kawasaki made crappy transmissions in their '05 motorcycles and 2nd gear was the problem. The only I ask is because when I shift into 2nd gear, there is a louder noise, doesn't happen in any other gear besides 2nd. I have practiced smoother shifts but it hasn't made a change. The oil level is normal and all that sort of stuff. I don't know what the problem would be, besides the transmissions. I doubt it's the clutch cable because the other gears sound fine.
If there is a problem, should I take it in and say something about it? I have one year of the warranty left on the bike. I don't want to have to deal with this down the line so I'd like to correct it now if it's a problem.
Some insight on this topic would be nice.
Thanks

I don't think there is anything to worry about. my '06 does the same thing, and my old kz also makes the same sound going into second, or into first. I'm sure this has to do with neutral being in between 1st and 2nd. I don't think Kawasaki has even changed the transmission in the 250 in years anyway. that's all.
