I just went to the dealer and ordered my new 07' 250 ninja. Are they compatible with all 06 parts? Where is a good place to buy aftermarket parts for the bike? Are there any other ninjsa that are compatible with the parts on a 250?

 

Most of the Ninja 250's are identical in parts from when the started making them in the 80's until now. I don't think there are too many aftermarket parts other than exhausts, like Muzzy or F1R.

 

E-Bay is your friend. Get some pretty good deals there.

Most of the parts on the 250 have not changed over the years, so you should be fine taking parts off an older model if you need to. I know there are a few updates to the electrical system on the newer models, so there might be a problem retro-fitting electrical parts from older bikes. You won't find a "whole lot" of aftermarket parts for these bikes compared to the other ninjas. I don't know of any other ninjas that use the same parts either. (besides the Kawasaki emblems!) Most of what you will be able to upgrade will be the exhaust and some small cosmetic add-ons.

The most popular upgrades will be installing flush mount signals upfront, removing the rear mudflap, integrating the rear turn signals into the side pods of the rear tail light housing, and maybe installing a muzzy exhaust if you have the money to blow. I have done all except the exhaust.
