That ride would be sitting in my kitchen staying dry for sure. Although a little rain and riding in the rain is normally not a big deal.

The cranking amps, or the capacity of a battery in ampere hours, is only a measure of what the unit can deliver - think of it as a big tank of petrol instead of a small one. The engine wil only use what it can, and likewise an electrical circuit will controll the rate of current passing through it as long as the delivery source is the correct voltage, which in this case will be 12V.

It will not fry any component unless there is already a fault, in which case the fuse should protect that circuit from further damage.

I sure hope I didn't fry anything else... I think the jumper was designed not to do that but who can say.

In any case it's running again. I drained the float bowls, and put in new plugs and finally got her to start. I think the plugs may have been getting fouled because the valve clearances were getting to 0 on some of them? I just got the bike and so hadn't checked that yet but got them all adjusted and now it's running great again.

Thanks for the help!
