Ok my girlfriend dropped her 250 and she bent her brake pedal and broke the oil glass. Is there a factory manual that i can download? I got the manual for my zx6r but i'm having trouble finding one for the 250.
Also is there anything special you have to do to replace that little glass?
Much help is appreciated, she only has 3 hours of practice on a motorcycle, she just got pressured by her dad and lost concentration when she was moving her bike.

 

The manual and sight glass should be able to be ordered by a local kawi dealer.

 

Don't know anything about the broken parts, but I hope your gf is ok and didn't get hurt. Shame on dad for making her nervous though..

 

go to kawasaki.com and you should be able to atleast see the breakdowns of the bike. I use em all the time for my 250.

 

If I remember correctly the glass pops out and is a press infit for the new one. You dont have to open the engine or anything.

Look on www.ronayers.com for the part, I tried to find it but had no luck its in there somewhere. The dealer would be faster though and the service guy may be able to confirm they press in from the outside, Im 95% sure.

 

Here is a pic of the engine covers. I can see the sight glass presses out. And, considering the line between the cover and glass is on the outside, I'll bet mnosbor is correct in his assumption that you wouldn't need to remove the cover to replace it.

 

Sweet thanks alot fellas! We got the glass part for 11, and popped out the old one and put the new one in. She was just concerned with if the glass went in. But we rode it around for about an hour and it seems fine! Thanks again we appreciate it very much!
