250 won't start after it was dropped
My bike got dropped and now when I try to crank it all i get is a rapid clicking noise. The first few times trying to crank it it would try to turn over once or twice and then would produce the clicking noise! Any suggestions on what I can do?

Prolly jarred a connection causing a voltage drop and now your battery is almost dead. Try a fresh battery charge and check all connections while it is trickle charging. I would try this first before going on since you did not list any damage.
edit: Any fuel leakage from the carbs? Check your plugs also to see if they are notfouled.

the best thing to do after you drop it is to shut the gas valve off, hold the throttle wide open then crank the engine. It should turn on..and when it does leave it on until it stalls so there is no more gas in the carbs. My girlfriend dropped hers and this has helped every single time.

the fast clicking is the solenoid bouncing..
when you hit the button, theres enough power to pull the plunger in to close the contacts for the starter in the solenoid (starter relay).. when the contacts close, the started drains the rest of the power, and theres no longer enough juice to keep the relay "on", and the contacts open, killing power to the starter, and releiving the battery of the strain...since the starter button is being held in, this acts like a buzzer, and sustains the rapid clicking by the voltage up/ voltage down thing going on.
good luck, charge that battery...
and welcome to KF bro!!!

Thanks for all the help. After a new battery (purchased by the guy who dropped it)the bike is running fine. Just had to adjust the Idle **** a little. Now I just need to find a new front left turn signal!
