I went to the dealership......
So I went to a Kawasaki dealership and I asked about the 250. I wanted to look at it in person before I bought one in the near future. So I asked the salesman, and he said that they don't have any in stock, nor will they be getting some in the near future. He said he might be getting some in June, and that once they receive them, they arer already sold.
So I asked for the price with tax tags, and I was quoted $4700.00.
I need some advice, is this rather steep for a bike that MSRP's is $3499? I see everyone saying they paid $4,000 and $3,700.
Maybe I should call some more dealerships. God this is a hassle

Yeah, you really need to do some research (look at some threads on boards and call around) and see what the going rate is in your area. What I paid in So. Cal ( $3900 OTD) is not really relevant to what you will pay because you have to look at the local market.
Even within an area, the prices can vary quite a bit. There are some dealers in So. Cal. charging over $5000 within a 30 mile radius of where I bought mine! As they say in Economics 101, "Caveat Emptor", let the buyer beware. Don't believe everything a dealer tells you without checking for yourself. It's your money.
All fees relating to Freight, set up, assembly, etc. are all dealer markups. It is all already included in MSRP. The real extra fees are taxes and DMV license depending on your State practice. In Cal. the dealer collects taxes and license so I got mine for MSRP+tax+DMV=$3950.
Nothing wrong with dealer markups so long as you see them for what they are; extra dealer profit. Make an informed decision and you will be happy.
