Default Does new exhaust make 250 sound more like 600cc?

The only reason I would consider getting a new exhaust for the 2008 250 is to make it louder and show off haha. It has the looks and when it is turned off everyone is amazed at the bike. Once I start it up, =(( thats when the "oh, its just a 250" comment comes in. I want to know from you guys who have an exhaust on the new 250, does it make it sound that much better? and is it that much louder?

Ihave a muzzy on my 93' ninja, It's very loud, almost too loud for my liking. I also find I have to replace the packing almost twice a year. When the packing wears away, it gets even louder. But yeah, it gives the little 250 quite a bark.

check this one: http://youtube.com/watch?v=zNk0pg3d-_8

I have the new Two Brothers aluminum can on my '08 GREEN Ninja 250R and it sounds good. Go to www.youtube.com and do a search on Ninja 250R with aftermarket exhaust and you'll see and hear other systems....most sound the same IMHO.... Tom

It does NOT make it sound like a 600, however, it does make it very loud. makes it sound like a bad *** dirt bike

An aftermarket exhaust for the 250R will not replicate the exhaust for the ZX6R. Remember the 250R is a parallel twin and the ZX6R is an inline four. Different style engines the have different workings thus different exhaust characters.

I would guess though that you could mimic my 650R since I am also a parallel twin just larger displacement.

Two brothers carbon slip on, yes its loud. I got compliments on the sound at idle. But if you drive any long distance prepare for ringing in the ear hole.
At least you will be heard and more noticed driving around. No regrets buying it, I like it.
