Cars are out to get us
It really is totally differnt to be riding with my boyfriend and watching him get hurt as a pose to somebody else. Watching anyone get hurt is some craziness, but well I think you guys know what I'm trying to say.
Wow...that's pretty wack. I guess drivers out in Cali might be worse than the ones from Jersey. I know a friend's friend out in Cali where a car cut him off, knocked him and his bike over, and just kept driving. I can't believe that people can just drive away right after almost killing someone.
I just started riding, took the MSF course, and basically got the whole cars are out to get us mentality beaten into me, and it seems that's a very good thing to know.

Drivers here in Cali are totally the worst ever of anywhere!!! How was that MSF course? Did it really teach you some good stuff? That's the safety one right? I've been thinking about taking it, but it's like $250 and I just lost my job so that is a no go for a while. Let me what you learned hee hee.
Oh and yes Cars suck so bad!!!

MSF was real good. You definately learn something even if you've ridden for years. They have an experienced course as well (which is cheaper by me since you use your own bike, and is fewer days). Everyone I speak to, always has good things to say about the course and I've definately heard the line "It's saved my @$$ plenty of times" from different people. I took the course in NJ which offers it for free, but the class is always booked and I had to go to through a certified private class which cost $225. The good thing in NJ is that if you pass the MSF course, you don't need to take the motorcycle road test, which is exactly what I did. Sucks that you lost your job, but that gives you more time to ride right
My 'rents are moving to Northern Cali, i'll have to remember to stay off bikes if i ever go to visit.

If you take the course out here it also makes it so you do not have to take that hard *ss test at the DMV.
Hey what part of Nor Cal are they moving to? Don't stay off you bike when you visit just be extra aware of everyone.
Not having my job totally has it pluses but the big down fall is no money
but I'm sure I will find one soon, it's only been a week and two days. I wanna take the course !!!

How hard is the road test in Cali? And is it true that drivers need to take it every X amt of years? In NJ it's all on a closed course. My rents are moving to Birmingham ...i think that's the name....right outside of SF. I've been out there a few times (N CAL) It's real nice
I'm not sure how many times you have to take it, but I thought it was only once every 4 years .Ours is a closed course to but It is hella hard, you have to ride in a really tight circle about 19 inchs wide and stay in the lines which are 2inches wide, you have to do it in both directions, then zig zag threw some cones which is the easy part.
Outside of SF!! That's awsome, I'm orignially from San Franscico and it's the best city ever!!! I also am moving up to Nor Cal, in december, but we are going to Monterey, which is like 1 hour and 45 mins south of SF.
