See if you can find a new '07 ZX6R... the year model will make a difference in the price. Also, +1 on shinobi's quote. When you get it, make sure you take the MSF course. It's a great program. And ignore the moles... they just never outgrew riding minibikes.

"Yes" to all of the above, except the KLX thing. I don't have anything against duals or dirtbikes, (I enjoy doing the dirt, too,) but they're definitely not streetbikes. The ZX-6 sounds like what you're after. Go for it.
But, whatever you ride, always keep your head in the game; don't do stupid crap.

I just bought a KLX250 so you should too. J/K. Not really...
I do however tend to follow the dictum that "it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow."

best advice yet, get whatever the hell you want because your the one thats riding it and paying for it. just buy some gear too and youll be allright
