Hi all,

I've been talking with a couple of you in the General Tech forum, but haven't said Hi here yet.

My name's Adam, I'm 29, and live in Stow Ohio which is outside of Akron. I'm just starting out in riding, with lessons coming up at Harley-Davidson in late July. I've ridden a very small amount in the past, and purchased an '84 KZ550 to practice with in advance and learn to work on.

Good to meet everyone, and I'm looking forward to this adventure.

I think I said it before, but welcome to KF! Enjoy the ride brotha. I was up in Akron a couple months ago, not a bad scene down main street if you pick the right day.

Yup I'll be sticking around! Prom, yeah there are places in Akron that can be nice and a good bar scene near the college areas. I prefer Cleveland much more, but I work outside of Canton these days so Cleveland isn't an option anymore.

I couldnt find much to do in cleveland, no parking downtown and not much to do elsewhere. Of course I'm sure if I looked harder I could have entertained myself.

Well it depends what youre looking for

Parking is a pain no matter what, but there are 2 places downtown to pay attention to : E 4th for food/culture (comedy club house of blues etc) and W 6th for partying and clubs. The flats are dead nowadays unfortunately. The suburbs can be good too.
