Hi guys my dad and I just got a Ninja 500 and we are basically learning in it. No pics as of now but you guys know how they look like haha.

I got a question, in the dealer they are trying to sell this maintenance crap that costs 800 dollars and they say that its worth it because maintenance for a bike costs roughly 1400 dollars... I thought this was some BS but what do you guys think? They say that break-in adjustments itself cost like 500 dollars... What do you guys say its the best thing to do in this situation?

Welcome to KF

You and your dad mechanically inclined? Basic break in and maintenance is pretty straight forward and is good to know. I do have a tough time seeing $1400 though. I would not do it but good luck.

Yeah the Dealership in Memphis we bought mine from was horrible to deal with and rude! We paid for my bike straight up and you would think they would have been a little more grateful but they didin't show me anything on my bike or about my bike, sent me OTD on empty! If someone else close would have had an 08 in stock I would have went somewhere else. I will never do buisness there again for anything. Anywho... welcome!
