My KLX
#4
Thanks for the welcome.
I bought the KLX new back in August and my wife's Honda a month ago. She got out on it for the first time Monday. We had a great time. She had not ridden in 25 years. I had not ridden in the dirt since I joined the Army back in 1975. Since August, I put about 800 miles on the KLX (all in the dirt).
I have ridden on the street all my life. Just recently after a few close calls and several fatal motorcycle accidents in my area, I sold the street bike. I decided that if I was going to get hurt, it would be due to something that I did and not due to some inattentive moron.
I love being on the trails and in the gravelpits!

I hear ya on this
I am still working on my wifes ride/comfort levels. Went from the 500 ninja to the lil 2 fiddy ninja for her. May just bite the bullet and get a dirt rider for her as well. It is all in the comfort level. again, congrats on the experiences.

Welcome to the forums man! back in 2005 late I bought the KLX, first one in Western Washington. Then 6 months later my wife wanted a bike, so we picked up a 2006 Yamaha XT 225. She got her license, and a couple of years later she stopped riding, so now it sits in the garage....keep your wife riding!!!
