Are the KLX 250 and KLX 300 Seat Pans the Same?
Quick question for the group to see if anyone knows this off the top of their head definatively beforeI start making calls to dealerships....Are the KLX 250 and KLX 300 seat pans the same / interchangable?

RE: Are the KLX 250 and KLX 300 Seat Pans the Same?
Ok, this is what I came up with from the site...
KLX 250 - Part # 53066-0095-336 Assembled with Strap
KLX 300 - Part # 53066-0102-336 Assembled
Question for the group... is it resonable to assume (man I hate that word...) that the difference is ONLY the strap, and that the seat pan underneath for a 300 should fit a 250??
Thoughts??

Validated though Gutsracing.com folks that the seat pan for the KLX 250 and the KLX 300 are identical... SOOOO......Here's the plan:
1) Win a KLX 300 seat on ebay to get the pan - DONE
2) Order the ‘tall’ seat & ‘tall’ cover from Gutsracing.com (http://www.gutsracing.com/pages/cata...kiorderpg.html)- DONE
3) Wait for that 'big brown truck' to arrive with all parts. - In process.....
4) Strip old seat cover and foamfrom newly won klx300 seat, apply new seat foam/glue and new cover/staples (picsto follow..)
5) Switch out current stock seat with higher, flatter MX seat when riding bike...
Result... Higher flatter MX seat available for Dad, stock seat available for son, with the turn of two bolts!!
