Default help if you can

Trying to find out reason for gas leak coming out of carb when bike is off 2002 vulcan800 a running great then this ?

If it only leaks when the bike is off, the first thing that needs to be checked is the petcock. This unit has a vacuum operated petcock to stop fuel from running unless the motor is turning over. If the diaphragm is stuck, it will run fuel all the time and the floats aren't strong enough to hold. Get a drain pan, and pull the fuel line off. If fuel comes out while the petcock is in the on position (and the machine is off), then you need to rebuild or replace the petcock. Could also be trouble with the needle valve not seating in the carb, but I'd check the petcock first.

My bad dragon, I took you're lol as kinda making fun of me. I'm new to this forum, was on here checking it out as a lot of my customers are using them. But I enjoy helping people when I can too. Sorry.

No worries bro. We are on the same page.

KF is kicked back more than other sites and you made a valid point in your internet diagnosis/opinion post. There are few short fuses here in KF. Glad that you are aboard the kf forum.
