Hi all, I am new to the forum and have recently purchased a 1st gen. H1. My biggest question for now is does anyone make an electronic ignition replacement for the stock pint and CDI unit?
Any leads on parts would be appreciated, this is to be a cafe racer bike.

Well.....right now that's kind of a problem. I will not pick up the bike till the week-end and all I know is that it has the point type ignition. (I saw that much in a box, yep, it's a basket case but has a BUNCH of NOS engine parts still in plastic) It's a free-just-haul-it-away deal but the person who has the info and the title will not be back in town till then. It looks like the CDI started with the 'D' model, at this time I just wonder if the latter CDI can be retrofitted.

 

Thats a tuff one. I tried to search the internet for ya, but came up empty. Maybe you can get a wiring diagram for both and integrate the two into one? Lot of trial and error maybe. I'll ask some friends tomorrow and see if they know anything. Not much help, but welcome...
