Just registered on here and like what I see so far.
I have a question about the ZX6RR I have purchased. It is an 03. The fairings were missing along with speedo etc. I bought the bike at a salvage shop. He had the side fairings and an upper fairing he said was from an 03 636. The bike is still at his shop so he is getting it ready for me to pick up next week. He mounted the sie fairings then he tried the upper fairing but it doesn't fit. I have been looking at pics on bikepics and I can't see any difference. I think the fairing may be from an 05. I am just wondering if anyone has info about the 03-04 R and RR fairings, sides and upper. Are they the same. Are the headlights the same, windscreen???? Any help would be appreciated.

 

the 03-04 zx6r and 03-04 zx6rr fairings are the same, just different decals but bolt up the same

Thanks guys. From all the pics I looked at, I was sure they were the same. The upper fairing he sold me was for an 05 then I'm sure. Now the search begins for the proper fairing.

What color is the upper and how much do you want for it?

 

The upper is Metallic Orange. The guy is going to take it back thoughand tryto find me the proper one.

 

How much did you pay for it? That's the color I need; ask him how much?

 

He was giving me a killer deal on it cause I bought the bike there. Normally he would sell it for around $300-$350 Canadian. It is as nice as you could hope to find. He also found headlights and a windscreen. I think he would like to sell it all together since it won't fit mine. I'll find out. Shipping may be a expensive but then again, I couldn't believe how light the whole unit was so it may not be too bad. He probably also knows what is the cheapest way to send stuff. He won't be open now until TuesdaysoI will find out then.
