throttle cable sticking?

Default throttle cable sticking?

hey i just finished dumping 900 bucks into my 98 kx250 to rebuild it and i started it p last night and it will idl for a couple of seconds then just open straight up to like half throttle and wont back down ..... thanks for any help!

have you tried lubing the cable?

yea man the cable is brand new , nd i just cleand the whole carb ... now im about to take of the reed valves... um could it have anything to do with the torque of the bolts on the block?

If it's got a carb, sounds like your float is not set properly. Now that you have it back together, drain the bowl and turn on the petcock for about 15-20 minutes. Try to restart it. I don't think it's the reeds.
