Bayou Sticking Throttle? Need Help!
Hey guys - Any help anyone can give me is much appreciated.
The past few weeks the throttle on my 03' Bayou 250 has been sticking something fierce around 2500 RPM's. This prompted me to tinker around to see what I could find. First I opened the throttle housing on the handle bar and greased the only moving part in there (and the cable) That didnt help at all and seemed to make things worse. So I decided to tinker further. I followed the throttle cable back to the carb where I found that rubber flap thing - that was easy, so I unscrewed the top and out came the spring-cable connection that was inside a plastic slide-thing. I didn't see how any of those parts (other than the spring) could have anything to do with the throttle sticking. So I put everything back together hoping that maybe just opening it did the trick - NOPE! I realized that whatever I did completely removed all tension on the throttle on the handle bar. What did I break and how can I fix this little problem? Again any help is much appreciated.
