a few maintenance questions
Hello all,
Trying to get a few more maintenance tasks done before the riding season starts here in earnest. I have a few questions about how to go about these tasks.
1) Do you use anything to protect your rims when changing a tire? It was suggested to me to use cut pieces of a milk jug but it seems like this would be hard to keep in place. Any suggestions?
2) When lubing a cable, do you use a cleaner first or just replace the lube?
3) When removing both ends of the cable to lube it, this does not mean you must readjust the cable after it is replaced back to its original location, correct?
4) When changing a tire tube, is it OK to run one tube size smaller if I can't find the correct matching tube/tire size? In this case a 110/90 x 19.
Thanks.
Jeff
