Post sum pics up FM when ya got it all done... Im happy with my green/black look.... what are your plans for fork guards, side panels, and head light shroud?
Gonna take a little time, I can only spend so much so fast....never mind farkling my adv.

I still have no solution for the fork guards....that's last on the list. One of the aftermarket side panels for the 300 is supposed to work on our bike,Arcebis sells them in pairs...so I'll just get both and see what the issue is....maybe I only have to weld a tab or sumthin.

Headlight....I leaning toward that giant round headlight that baja designs makes....the one thatTremor calls a train light....lol. I like to ride at night in the sand dunes here in Fl during summer....not as hot.

Ok oldphart let me try to help you with the pics

First go to www.photobucket.com and set up an account for yourself and upload the pics that you want to post from your computer to their website...it's easy. Now leave that website open and open up this forum. Now you have photobucket and the klx forum up at the same time.

Second start a reply to a post on this forum...you seem to be able to do that.

Third, now go to photobucket and highlight the "direct link" under the pick you want to post and then right click and choose copy

Fourth, go back to our forum and left click on the reply screen where you want the pic to go. Now left click this button ..... a screen will pop up .... right click on the address bar and choose past, then click ok.

Fifth...finish typing what you want to post and post it. Done

Finger Mullet where are you getting Acerbis plastic for the KLX 300? I have a 300 and the only aftermarket plastic I have been able to find is from Maier. I either use very good used KLX front fenders cheap or aftermarket KX fenders. I just ordered a new Cycra KX frontfender. Forthe fork guards you can modify 94-03 KX 125/250 guards and guides to work. It's an easy job and the are much cheaper aftermarket and are not brittle like the KLX guards and will last much longer. As the guys with the KLX S models bikes start to get a little more age on them they will find out how easy the guards will shatter into numerous pieces with just a little hit. The KX guards will never do this. The IMS tank was talked about some and I may have a little info on that to add. A riding buddy has one on his KLX. Hewas notable to find aftermarket shrouds for the 94-96 KLX 250 which must be used. I think Maier used to makethem but have discontinued them. Frommy dealings with Jerry at Four Stroke Works I found he has them made and sells them for around$100.00-125.00 a set.

Good Stuff .... and you are right the rad shrouds and side panels are made by Maier not Acerbis...too much shopping ..lol.

Maier shrouds

Maier Side Panels

Good info on the kx fork guards...thats the way I will go. Thanks you saved me a lot of research.

I also agree on your opine that the klx plastics are going to be a problem for some with no aftermarket....my riding season is 365 days a year and the sun cooks down here in summer. I bet we see a lot of posts like this in the future, because my plastic is done...no well done.

Re IMS tank: I assumed you could get black KLX 250R guards that are required as I saw some purple Maier ones on Ebay but the point of them not making them anymore is probably correct.

Re Guards: Yep, what Argos said. Here are mine--just order black instead, almost everybody makes these yet.

Hey Nobrakes what fans did you use? .... got any laying around that website?
I used Comair Rotron Flight LT Brushless DC, CR0612HB-D71GL, 12V, 0.13A. I don't have any left, I bought 4 of them, and installed two on each radiator.
