Shrouds an crap is still leftover too...hint...hint.I'm still going black an not going back.
Be sure and post up some pics. I don't think I've seen an all black KLX. Except tremor's s'moto, but that doesn't count since it came that way.
I've seen some pretty sharp looking KTMs in all black. I think this one's sharp, the expensive part is the aftermarket tank.

This is what mine would look like if you keep the stock tank, but get everything else in black. I could do this for a little over $100:

But I haven't tamed the orange one, yet. I need to do that before I unleash the black.
Maybe my new 2010 fuel injected KTM will be all black stock, and I'll be ready to handle it by then.

the rad shrouds you need are 94-96 klx250, one of those years they were white, course you will need graphics if you are so enclined, also need a klx300 fuel petcock. I just fitted my IMS tank to my 250s if you can chew gum and walk it isn't much of a hassle. As far as fans go, if you even wan't one I got surplus computer fans made a mounting bracket out of an old screen door plate, don't tell my dad cause that's the piece he's been wanting to jury rig his goldstar back together. I know without pics it's worthless but I am not picture posting savvy. I'll try get my sis to do it tomorrow. Or i'll attempt it tonight. Oh cutting your original shrouds isn't to bad, just have to figure some other bolts washers , no big deal. On a scale of 1-10 maybe3. I am now going to attempt the picture thing
He's got the KLX300 tank, so KLX300 shouds should fit as well. The best fans I've seen so far are the the Comair Rotron models because you can order them with different levels of 'Enviroshield' conformal coatings to protect them from the elements. I pretty surethat's important where FM rides at.

Tremor, got a good source for those fans, I'll check them out.
NoBrakes, my klx will never look like that...lol...I'm trying to make it a cheap to fixfuture loaner bike for low speed get offs that my friends that don't own a bike anymore will inevitably do. I see a used 08 ktm 300 xc-w in my future on the distant horizon.
Hey Nobrakes what fans did you use? .... got any laying around that website?
I don't remember the size and parameters he settled on but Todd (BMWHD) installed this brand on his bike. I don't remember if the detailed post was at the Advrider KLX long term review thread or in this forum.
sales@comairrotron.com could probably hook you up with what you need.
