Default Helmet Lock

I have a helmet lock that I removed from my bike.
It's keyed for my bike.
I can have a spare key made then you'll have a lock with a key
So it's yours if you're interested for the cost of a spare key and shipping

Just PM me if interested.

Doug

I had this happen a month ago when I used it for the first time in a year it worked once, then it wouldn't lock anymore. I removed it and doused it in wd40 and now it works again. Hope that works for you.

I sprayed some wd40 in it but never took it off, I'll try taking it off and see if I can get it to start working again

So I tried soaking it in pb blaster, no luck. Noticed there was 2 phillips screws in the back, took them off and it's a pretty simple mechanism. Ended up grinding the lock piece a little so it has some space between the case. Then I bent the spring back a little for a little extra strength, before putting it back together I put a little bearing grease at all contact spots inside for easier movement. Put it back together and now it seems to be springing back normally. Hope this helps anyone else that has the same problem, pretty simple fix. Beats paying $55 for a new lock and needing another key haha
