Love both of my Delkevics.

 

I may have said it, but I also run Delkevic on my XSR with the quiet core in. I also picked up the extra quiet core (longer and a bit different) in case I needed it. Figured the shipping would be near the same since they just popped it in the box with the exhaust. Haven't used it yet, but may have to try it. I wanted to have an idea of how loud the XSR was so I got a $1 phone ap decibel meter. Held at about 24" off at a 45° angle from the muffler tip it shows around 87 dB at idle and around 96 dB at 5000-6000 rpm. Definitely not too loud since I don't really run around at 5000-6000 rpm much. Nice construction too.

 

On the VFR (I don't have one on the KLX, but I should!).

 

This is what the supertrapp sounds like with 4 disks. I run three which is even quieter with no loss in performance.

 

I loved my old SuperTrapp mufflers!
