worse job

My first job was as a dishwasher at a local hotel/restaurant and i thought i wanted to learn the ropes of cooking...that turned out to be a worse job than washing dishes as the waitresses would place their orders (appetizers, main courses) and then scream at you when their steak (well done at that) wasn't ready at the same times as their salad (when the salad was actually on the order slip as an appetizer)...man I hated that job! Nothing worse than an impatient waitress on her period.[:@]

First job was a stock boy at a grocery store was OK. Next one was a delivery & stock boy for a liquor store, it had great benefits!!!I was only18.Journeyman Plasterer for 27 years. Tough job! Now I'm mantainence operator of a limestone mill. Cool Job. I smash rocks all day.
Never really had a bad job, but had some that were pretty hard ones. Electrician comes to mind. Sure it sounds easy, but try pulling 3 or 4 bundles of big power distribution cable off those giant spools and shoving them down into a 6 inch conduit lubed up with some funky yellow jello stuff, in the pouring rain and slick mud making even standing up hard, let alone pulling all that heavy wire off the spools at the same time. Or using a mattock to try and dig a ditch for cabling when it's 10 degrees out and the ground is frozen and the sun is not even up yet. Up at the butt crack of dawn, and lucky to be home before it gets dark. And I've had guys from other trades say "You electricians have it easy. All you do is work with wire and stuff."
I did that for a while, some of the guys had been doing it all their lives. They earn every penny.

2 jobs my whole life. Marine Corps and UPS. humped the hills for 4 yrs. in the first and pkgs for the last 19 yrs.in the second.given the chance to do it all over again i really can't say i would change any of it.
Worst job I ever had was the summer before my first year of college....hanging bats (installing insulation)using stilts in S. Florida for new construction.....damn that was hot..lol, second worst was laying cedar shingles for roofs in Gainesville, Fl during my freshman year summer.....that was way hot too. The guys that do those jobs deserve every penny and more!
I love my current job. I have the ability to pump **** uphill!
I work on sewage lift stations and forcemains for the City of Greensboro. It can get nasty, cleaning rags, tampons and used condoms off trigger floats, and when things go ****ty, they can really get ****ty!
I love the hours, the benefits, and the overall work. Dont think Id change a thing!

hmm, worst jobs. Emergency care: Knowing that some will make it, some will not. The ones that do make it will either thank you or try to sue someone. Too much dog eat dog for me.
I've had a lot of different jobs (or tasks associated with a particular job). Probably the worst by far was as a paperboy. Winters, early mornings, Sunday 10lb newspapers, flats, dogs, missed throws, weak rubber bands, alcoholic district managers, collecting, bounced checksand some a**hole screaming at you at 6:31am because you didn't get the paper there by 6:30am -- all at twelve years old.
Since then, things have gotten progressive better. After being a pizza cook, sailor, student, particle physics researcher, ...., I'm now an electrical engineer designing microprocessors for Intel.I really hope to be a pizza cook again some day.
