2nd worse job - my family owns several household furniture moving companies. I decided to enter into the family biz. THAT was hard work, long hours, people yelling, cursing, pulling a gun on you, harrassment. Pay was good.
Worked as a porter(bellhopor something is U.S.A)fresh out of school at a 5 star resort, the social life was great but the rich and famous guests treated you like the scum of the earth. Been self-employed ever since couldn;t go back to being told what to do every second of every day.
Cheers
Chris.

the worst: working for Service Master. They basically clean up what ever is too nasty to clean up your self. And for the right price they will clean just about anything. House almost burns down and you need to get the soot out? serivce master.... break a ****ter line and your basement is full of "crap" yeap, sounds like service master. I worked there when I was 16 and quit the day they wanted me to go in the basement and suck up poops with a vacume that runs off a chevy engine. hahah i hated that job... sometimes when the house got flooded on the upper floors you would have to rip out all the sheet rock like a foot off the ground all the way around the floor and pull up any carpet. set up huge fans..... I will never work another job like that again.
Now I'm self employed as a carpenter.... up sides to that. worked on oprah's house in hawaii once!

Ive been in it since Apr. and Ive already taken 2 **** showers and been in a few wet wells scraping sewage grease off the walls!
Even though you may think you have it bad........someone else has got it worse, and TBH there's NO WAY I could sit in a cube all day on the phone........e****ally with people b!tchin at me!

In high school, the grade school my mom worked at just lost their janitor, so I came in a couple nights a week to scrub the toilets and mop the floors. Not really hard work, but too much time alone in a dark empty school building in the ghetto. All uphill from there, McDonalds fired me, kinda proud of that, worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Walmart, counting pills was pretty boring too.Went back to school, not looking back.
diesel mechanic.....I love every minute of it....at least that's what i say.I sometimes curse the truck drivers but i cant say it out loud because i did drive a tri-axle for 3 years and thatstupid crap that the truckers do creates job security for me.I have always been a mechanic in some shape or form...started as a lawn mower mechanic for a few hours a week when i was 13 years old on my summers off from school and that was the beginning.it went downhill from there......i tried to get away by driving a rig but it just wasn't happening......i'm a wrench and that's all their is to it.The more technical the job the more i crave it....along with engine electronics for big diesels....lot's o fun.I always figured that you have to work for a living and you should at least enjoy what you do...if you don't enjoy your job then get out and do something so you can actually give 100% of yourself to what you want to do.a person who is happily employed is much more productive than someone who is not.
yep and 14 years as a diesel tech and i still see new things every week....dumb stuff too

Just saw this thread In high school worked at a fishery and had to clean and scale 2500lbs. of fish a day.My friends use to make me ride in the back of the pickup in the winter because I stunk so bad, This is after washing down in bleach and lemon juice. I couldn't eat fish for 10 yrs. after that super job.
