Hey all,

I sent off my fmf q2 to Jerry at FSW yesterday. He is going to modify it to fit his head pipe and send it back along with jetting suggestions. The mods I'm planning aside from the exhaust are a uni filter, maybe the kdx200 snorkel, jet the carb to 125 or 128 main (not sure which), 35 pilot, N1TC needle and drill the slide to 7/64". Right now I'm waiting not so paitently for the return of the exhaust so I thought I would share my pain here. I'll be sure to post some pics and a review once the mods are done.

If at all possible I would love to hear the Q2 when you get it back. After the NJ ride my ears were ringing from riding with all the Muzzy and BG's out there. I thought my open stock 300 was loud but those were much much louder. A quiet free (ish) flowing pipe is what I'm after.

The two brothers with the smaller end piece sounds good and is still better flowing. I'm not computer savvy enough to do a sound track but maybe someone else out there is. It sounds louder sitting on the bike but I think alot of it is the open air box. When i've asked someone if it's loud the answer is always no.

I'll see what I can do about a sound file. The fmf website claims a 93dB rating and I think the stock is around 89 db? What are the Muzzy and Big Gun rated for?

pats bike sounded good with the two brothers he put on. and i think the muzzy they put on my bike was around 108db with the quiet core pinched down to make a little more quiter.
