Default Wider Rubber on an SF for the rear?

Rather than replace like for like on my KLX 250sf, is it possible to fit a slightly wider rear tire? So that the rear doesn't look as skimpy?

Thanks

140/70 is about as big as you can fit.

Lots has already been discussed here about this and a quick search will turn up all the info you are looking for. The discussion is summarized as:
If your goal is performance, stick with the stock size because
- It’s lighter
- It’ll break loose better for drifting
- Your bike has been engineered for a 130 and you risk altering the turn-in characteristics by changing size
- It’s cheaper

If your goal is merely appearance, you can safely go up to 140, with some reports of being able to squeeze in a 150.

I'm using 110/70 front, 140/70 rear. Just fitted new Battleaxe tyres yesterday as it happens. 140 rear works well

the 140 will not effect handling in a bad way it actually gives the bike better handling more side grip. Its all ive ran on my bike since about 900 miles. i now have 3k and have been through 4 rear tires with no problems. the wr250x has a 4" rear rim and comes standard with a 140/70. the sf has the same 4" rim no problems do it you will like it.
