I will just drill some speed holes in the swing arm to offest the weight it should be fine.

Pretty much done, I just have to mount it but likely wont do that until I have my Aux lighting project done. Green LED is to indicate when the aux lights are on.

 

That looks really cool, David! Where did you source the plastic?

The one thing I worried about in putting anything on the sides is that it looks like the wiring will be visible from the side of the bike. Have you done anything about that, or is it something that doesn't bother you?

 

The plastic was from a wire shelf with the plastic as the solid surface so it probably wont help you much.

The wire for the USB cable will run under the new dash and then through a hole in the middle of the rubber flap thats there. From there I run it along the other cables from the dash. For anything that visually sticks out I put the wire in a plastic corrugated loom
