Where to buy individual DJ main jets?

Default Where to buy individual DJ main jets?

Couple questions:

are they all the same? Is a DJ138 the same as any other DJ138?

After looking at klxster's recent posts I'm convinced I need to up my mainjet size once I get my Q4 mounted.

My 2152 dynojet kit only came with a Dj132 at the most so I'd like to order a 136 at least based on various readings around here.

Anyone have any extra's kicking around they could mail to Canada for a couple bucks? Or know where I can order individual jets?

Where do you live? There are a few places in Canada that ship for next to nothing.

Are they the same? - yes.
I put together a new thread with just stock header+slipon charts to help you guys figure out your setups. You, for instance, are at a higher elevation and will need to study the data and make a guess at your main jet size selections.. For instance, if I was at 2k ASL, I'd probably get a DJ134, DJ136, and a DJ138 and try them out using 3N starting with the 138.. Now, if your Q4 does not flow quite as freely as my DGR, your jets would need to be smaller than what I might choose..

Your memory serves you well (or you're creepin on me!) and I'm about 2k ASL. It's a Q4 with an insert. Was planning on starting with a 138 - seems like too rich is better than too lean from what you've shown.

I'll go check the local dirtbike/atv shop if they're all the same (DJxxx).

It's odd that they're so hard to find online individually though.

I couldn't find DJ jets either, except from DJ.. Then my dyno shop owner offered up that he had a lot of partially used DJ kits from all the tuning his shop has done.. He let me look through em and I found the ones I was wanting to try..FREE!! Problem is that DJ mains come in at least two flavors - DJXXX and CJXXX.. I've got to call DJ about that as I think the CJ's mean "competition" as they are the ones that come in the DJ kits for offroad racing bikes..( KXF's and the like..) I don't think there is a visual difference between a DJ and a CJ.. I do know that I grabbed a DynoJet main that was marked 144 but got a whole lot more fuel out of it than expected - .8:1 richer than my DJ140 when I expected half that (.4:1)..

I just took the time to review your situation before responding - trying to keep it as real as I can.. The differences in the performance of all my recent setups are too subtle for me to detect - It takes the Dyno to show me + .5 hp and/or +.5 lbft TRQ.. Of course all my recent setups have been too rich below 6.5k.. (That FMF exhaust is just kik'in my butt - I get the top end AFR good and the mid goes too rich, even with 2N!) Point is, I hope you fair better at detecting a setup that kik's the most boutte' over others.. The bike will run great even with AFR's that dip below 11:1(too rich)..

P/M y back! Anyways, the jets I ordered aftermarket through my local dealer are the same but NOT DJ jets....in other words, the sizing matches they are just not DJ jets.
I'm at 1000 feet ASL and finally just put in a 140. I resisted because I couldn't imagine that removing the lid and a Uni filter could make that much difference but obviously it has.
Just be patient with jetting and make sure u buy enough jets to try the whole spectrum!

It's a Keihin carburetor....why would you want to buy Dynojet jets? All DJ does is aggregate a selection of jets of different sizes and offer them as kits to experiment with tuning. If you are pretty sure you know the size you need order it directly from any number of online places that sell Keihin jets.

Anciano, DJ jets are designed differently than K jets. They have a venturi effect with a tapering cross-section and flow differently than K's.. The x-over charts are all wrong as they all simply measure the diameter of the hole in the jet.. This is directly from a call to DynoJet.. Just give em a call and ask for a "jetting specialist".

I assume that one should stay with DJ jets when using a DJ kit in the CVK..
