hey. just wondering what notch on the chain adjusters everyone with the 13tooth sprocket and stock rear are using? thanks. keith

 

One thing I noticed is that when using the stock chain and dropping the front down to a 13, the adjusters are almost sticking straight up. In fact the chain guard almost gets in the way.

Here's a picture of the chain adjuster on my bike. I felt you can better see instead of trying to read my description.

 

That chain looks dirty, .... then again don't look at mine right now

 

Hey Marty what chain lube are you using? Chain Wax? I find that stuff is a good dirt magnet and thats about it.

 

Hey, lighten up!

I just got back from a ride in the mountains of Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia!

It rained most of the time, the bike is filthy, but I ride in all weather not just fair weather. I also ride in dirt - in this case mud - gravel, grass and also on pavement when necessary!

I've been using Amsoil metal protectant as my chain lube. With all the mess I've been riding in, nothing was necessary to pick up gunk!

 

Mine is on 5 1/2" with the 13 tooth. The chain is a little loose, but 6 is too tight. I've got over 2100 miles on my bike now.
