So when they fill the hole back up, do they replace the bricks they took out or is it some 1/2 a$$ patch job? Where is the tee going to?

 

yes, when they are all done it will get backfilled with stone, then a 4"-6" concrete slab will go down then sand then they will put the bricks back on... That is an existing 24" cast iron pipe that we were tying into with a 36" ductile iron waterline coming across the ohio river from the water treatment plant. The plant is a 40 million gallon per day plant.

Nice work and thanks for sharing.My dad has been a 'fitter in L.U. 420 for 31 years....I love seeing the work you guys do.Me ,I'm just a mechanic ....and a welder.
Piping is an amazing thing when you see how underground things are put together.....me i like to weld it up...LOL

 

Strangest thing - they're all "white" guys working manual labor - haven't seen that out here in the West in a long time!
