it's 3.35 for reg. Took 10.00 just to fill the bike on premium when the light went off.

It's about 14 cents a gallon here in Caracas, Venezuela. Hey wait, I don't live in Venezuela!

I've calculated that conservatively, I'm spending 16 cents per mile in my Chevy Colorado, and 5 cents per mileon the KLX. This is taking into account 87 octane for the truck and 93 octane for the KLX.

$3.29 for the cheapest regular unleaded (Tom Thumb Citgo) and $3.39 everywhere else for the unleaded. Add 20 cents for the premium. Too damn much! [:@]

I did all the math for my 5000 mile average (which is what i logged on the klx this year) between the truck and the bike.
BIKE with mods and actual MPG=63.11 mpg on my last fill up.
TRUCK=16.2 gallons for 235 miles=14.5 mpg
an average of 30 weeks per year would net me for fuel costs.
BIKE=192$
TRUCK=911.70$
This is at current fuel prices and the bike is fed 93 octane and the truck is fed 87.
The difference is 719.70$ that i save with the bike.
Over 5000 miles
Bike=79.22 gallons @270.85 for fuel (93 octane @3.41 per gallon)
Truck=344.82 gallons @1086.18 for fuel (87 octane @3.15 per gallon)
der.....this is why i ride the bike no matter what to work.I really don't care what the weather is.With what i have saved over the past year it made the cost of my riding gear pretty much disappear......Same with the cost of the bike.Over 4 years it would be covered....considering the price increase we are yet to see.

$1.50 (Aus) a Litre for 98 RON (all I use.) Thats $5.67 (Aus) a Gallon. That's $5.20 US a Gallon at C/E.[sm=imsmilin.gif]
