paying for cable....
so its raining and since i have nothing better to do i though id point out something i noticed when paying my cable bill the other day. The insurance on my bike is 60 bucks a month (not bad considering im only 20 i think) and my monthly payment on the bike itself is 70, so im paying about 135 bucks a month for it. Last month my cable bill was 138.46.... i starting laughing in the line and the guy looked at me funny so i told him that my bill was more than i pay for my motorcycle... i felt kinda stupid for waiting so long to buy it cause i didnt think i could afford it.
just thought id share that... sorry if you read the whole thing and are pissed off that its relatively pointless.... all it does around here is rain lately and i have a lot of ime to kill :-p

RE: paying for cable....
My cable bill is just over $140 including HighSpeed Internet. That means I'm almost paying $100/month just for cable tv.[:@]I think I'm gonna switch to satellite.
Oh, but I see your point about the cable bill and motorcycle costs. For some reason, $60/month still seems like a lot of money though for insurance even at your age unless you've had a speeding ticket or two. At 23, I was paying $170 full coverage per yearon my 250R which should be in the same class as your bike.

I don't understand why they charge so much; (and then EVERYONE complains about how terrible their service is.) I haven't had cable or network TV in my home for more than a decade. Perhaps this is the reason all my bikes and pickup are paid for?

Internet costs I can handle paying for. But I don't watch enough tv to justify $100/month.
