went exploring
went exploring today and with the help of zillow i found access to a whole network of fireroads and singletrack that is very close to my dojo. i was so happy once i saw the expanse of trails i felt like a kid on xmas opening presents. of course its not legal for me to be there but the good thing about that is nobody else was there either and its too far out for mountain bikers to go so i found myself all alone and very happy, although there was a helicopter doing practice landings, lol i think we were entertaining each other. the terrain was extremley varied, to include sand, soft dirt, hard pack and a lot of baseball sized rocks. lots of hills, some 50mph stretches and my favorite, singletrack. the singletrack is great because on the first trip out its first gear because i didnt know what was coming but on the wayback it was all second [8D], there was a little dropoff on one side so i didnt want to get too out of control, which i did a couple times but didnt lay er down, real close tho lol. that soft stuff can get you. and i must say im glad i dont have a heavier bike cause the places i ride, i tend to have to do a lot of u turns. another thing about the singletrack i like is that no 4 wheel vehicle can get 2you[8D]. oh and the clear radiator hoses did just fine, i thought for sure i was gna get a flat tire with all those rocks but i lucked out. the klx is a superb machine that handled everything i threw at it, at least 50 miles offroad today and i am feeling beatdown, unlike my klx. sorry i was by myself but heres a couple bike pics from 2 different parts of the trails. oh and i apologize if i got too wordy. just had to tell someone.

Glad to see someone is having fun! Looks like you have good weather atm and nice and dry. Glad to see the clear hoses worked a treat. You are right about the klx, she is one tough little beast.
Cheers!
Cheers!
How are you liking the Kenda tires? I haven't rally been in too slippery of an area with them yet, just wondering. On a related note, I finally threw my original 603 rear tire, the 606 that replaced that, and the original 603 front tire yesterday. I got tired of kicking them in the shop at work. I did get nearly 5000 miles on the front 603. These Kenda tires are wearing really slow. I think they are going to dry rot from time before they wear out. [8D]
it's not a good ideato go out riding alone so BE CAREFULL!!! of course we expect pics if you take a good digger( with a nice report on how you got yourself out).

yeah ive noticed riding alone kinda sux. I did it as well cuase everyone was busy and i wanted to ride but oh well.. i posted my report in the off road section.
