OK, I gotta ask. What throttle do you order? As in for what machine? 250S, 300R,...universal? And where do you guys get yours from? I want to pick one of these up.

I checked the packaging as I walked out the door today. I'm pretty sure it's the universal size.

I have an 09 too and I am interested in the Vortex throttle. I am curious if one were to put on the 06-08 starter switch and throttle assembly, will it then work...?

Apologies for late reply. The throttle that I linked is the one I bought...

It is a universal size. My situation remains the same, I'm holding off on installing the Vortex on my 09 until I can find a clean starter/kill switch solution for my bike.

If the starter for an 06 or 07 works and is smaller in width I'd do it, but I can't confirm that now. I was hoping to be able to do that on this forum; I may ask the dealer next time I go in.

I had a Honda Ruckus before I bought this bike. I went the Mod route on it to try and milk as much HP/Cool out of it as I could- futile attempt. Point being I'm approaching my KLX with an minimalist MOD approach. I'd really hate to mess up my electric start by wiring a box up that I'm not sure about.

Anyways, I'm rambling. But I am DAMN GLAD I have a KLX and not that Ruckus anymore! Felt like a dork on that Ruck, feel BFA on my KLX!

It is a good idea to make sure that you can put you bike back to stock so that if you sell it you can take off the after market stuff and sell it separately, to get back a bit of your cash

I have an 09 with vortex 1/4 turn and had to buy the 06 starter switch and throttle cable. the 06 switch has a different connector than the 09 but the wires are the same. works great.

Oh good, because I have an 06. Still considering this. Just soo much to buy, so little money. Have to prioritize, especially in these times.
