Default Valve shims

Anyone know of an aftermarket parts source for valve shims? The dealer cost is ridicules-- 18.95 each.

Many Kawasaki shops have an exchange program...either free swaps or a very small fee for exchange. The reason for a small fee for some is that they actually take the trouble to inspect and use a micrometer the incoming shims.

I bought shim kit off ebay. Brand is hot cams. If you use the search button you can check which kit is correct. Off the top of my head I think its 7.48mm kit Or you could take a gamble and get the Hotcams refills for the following three sizes and most likely be covered. .290, .295 & .300
Cheers & good luck, Jim

Default RE- shims

Thanks-I had a good look on ebay before heading off to the dealer. I ended up getting one 2.95. One of my exhaust valves is on the tight side of the specs.

Hot cams offer a shim kit for a fairly decent price. Includes an extreme array of sizes, most of which, you will probably never use. I bought mine for like $70, but I haven't used any of them yet. Because the valve clearance are always within spec.

From what I gather .295 is most common first replacement. Hot cams should do a mini kit with 3ea from .300 to .285 and maybe 2 ea of .305 & .280
