Well there are a lot of exhaust selections for you to make up your mind.

I chose the HMF slip on with the stock head pipe. I still need to take off my head pipe and make sure the weld job is not a weld blob!

You can check out the excellent article KLX250S Slip On Exhaust article on their website.

They are just about the only one that has done the kind of testing they show in their article. I was impressed with the work that was done. It also shows in excellent detail the procedures for making the basic mods.

I haven't decided to jump on the Dynojet kit just yet. While the tapered needle is cool, I'm a washer under the needle kind of guy. I'll go there to begin with and if necessary try a different needle later on.

Hopefully the jets will be here today, perhaps tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when I awaken the little beastie!

Great idea to do a sound comparison on the different exhausts.
Could you tell much difference in performance between the stock exhaust and the HMF muffler...both with the Mikuni carb?
How's your jetting working out?
