Its fine. It is really great. Maybe drastic positive difference comparing to OEM blinded my mind. I rebuild completely top end with 351cc, FMF and TM. Its just so awesome.. There are some very very rare pops on deceleration but I attributed it to new FMF powercore. Frankly speaking I didnt ride it too much - just test ride for an hour. When I noticed this strange response feature I decided to stop riding till understand the reason.

Do any of you have a intermittent miss in the 6K-7K rpm range? I had read doing the regulator mod took care of this for some, but I still have the issueso am now leaning towards it being a carb/jetting issue. I haven't dug into the carb yet to see what jets/settings are in it. Bike has a 351 kit with full FMF exhaust and K&N air filter.

What year? It seems this issue is more prevalent on the 2009+ models. I've never had the problem on my '06.

Mine's an 09' sf. Has a pumper carb, not the stocker.

For clarification, did you own the bike before the pumper carb? If so, did the miss occur with the OEM carb too?

I bought the bike with all the mods done to it. I posted about it under my old user name (ZrexRich) when I bought the bike this past spring. The only thing I've added is the K&N filter, but from what I recall, the miss was there before I installed the filter.

Ok, just finished first runs and conclusion is - bike with my settings and altitude is always rich. On idle 13.4 and with open throttle 12.2... Standard carbs are tuned to 12.5 and variation can go up to 15 (after that mixture will be lean). Best value for carbs is 14.7. It means - idea that cables are not properly adjusted is right. Gonna check them now...or maybe slider ? Anyway it is not lean mixture or vac leak...
