Default Tires size for the most part but also 2009-2013 KLX250S specific information??

Looking to get some dirt tires and I've decided on the Kenda K760 Trackmaster II but I've been having a hard time to find what size will fit the 2012 KLX250S... It looks like the OEM sizes are the same at 3.00-80 and 4.60-18 but Kenda doesn't come in this size.. Someone was saying a 110/100-18 would fit the rear of a 2007... Is this the same for the 2012??

I've been looking for a section specific to my particular model but haven't had any luck yet.. Is it just safe to assume that all tires fit both pre 2009 and post 2009 the same?? I've searched many times without luck so I'm sorry if this is another PITA thread but I'm just getting too frustrated to keep reading through dozens of pages hoping to come across the information I need.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Some info on what the numbers mean...take a look towards the end of the page.

A 110/100 is 110mm wide with a 100% height/width ratio about 4.33in.

No rim locks on this [KLX] bike. I run about 14 lbs and I am not a throttle twisting clutch dropper. My YZ and KTM have rim~locks.

I don't/wouldn't recommend the Michelin, it seems to push. I moved the bars
up and that seemed to help. Seems to be wearing good tho.

A good resource to find if a tire fits is the actual online stores. Rocky Mountain ATV and some of the the online retailers let you enter your bike in to find the proper tire size. I'm running D606 rear and the Pirelli XCMH heavy duty front. Both have rim locks. Ive had good luck with the Dunlop D606, put about 2000 miles on them. The front I just changed and the performance both on and off are perfect for my riding style.

Default Front tire

For what it's worth, the k760 Trackmaster II front tire is not particularly good in my opinion. I've been through 2 or 3 of them on my KLX, so I think I have enough experience with them to say so. The problem I have with them is that they wash out pretty easily and unpredictably, and once they let go, they don't come back. I will not be buying another one.

I've gone back and forth a couple times now between the K760 Trackmaster II and the K775 Washougal front tires. The 80/100-21 Washougal front is DOT approved, and is hands down a better tire in the dirt than the Trackmaster II, and I think it's very good all around on the KLX. Both tires last about the same mileage (about 2000 to 3000 miles in my use) until they are totally worn out. The Washougal is a little more expensive, but well still a bargain for a GOOD DOT knobby.
